Will anyone buy custom made slipcovers? This was the question Michelle Swicheniuk (owner), asked herself when she was researching different business ideas so that she could leave her job as a legal assistant and work from home around her child's schedule. The answer proved to be an affirmative YES! There are so many different furniture stores out there - high end and low end - but it seemed there was a market for those that really believed in revamping what they already have - whether it be for sentimental reasons, environmental concerns or because choosing a slipcover would enable them to pick their own fabric and get exactly what they want. Five years later business is still going strong and Koala Custom Slipcovers has branched out to include other home decor items including draperies, cushions, bed lines etc. We also have an exciting new product line which is being developed - revamped accent chairs!
